Job summary

Libertatem Healthcare in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated Paediatric Brain Injury Support Worker to join our West Derby team. You will provide compassionate, hands-on care to a 7-year-old girl with complex needs, including brain injury, cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

The role covers day shifts and nights, with duties such as personal care, monitoring health, administering medications, and supporting routines.

Qualifications

• Paediatric care experience, preferably with brain injuries.
• Complex clinical care experience including PEG and suctioning desirable, training can be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient and empathetic demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the child's condition overnight.
• Support with daily and nightly routines.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist with personal hygiene and mobility.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.

Join Our Team as a Paediatric Brain Injury Support Worker – Make a Real Difference!

Are you looking for a rewarding and engaging role in complex clinical care? We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join our new client with complex needs in West Derby, Liverpool.

Shift type:Day shifts, sleeping nights & waking nights available

Hours:
Days –Saturday and Sundays, 8am-8pm
Nights –7 nights per week, 8pm-8am, both waking and sleeping available.

About the Role

You’ll be supporting a 7-year-old girl who has complex needs including brain injury, cerebral palsy, dystonia, epilepsy, visual impairment, PEG, suctioning and oxygen. We're looking for someone with previous experience in complex care with children and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy.

Our client lives at home with her family and enjoys sensory activity, lights and music. Your role will be to support her physically and emotionally, helping her live life to the fullest.

What We’re Looking For

Due to the client's needs, we’re seeking a support workerwith:

• Paediatric experience, ideally with brain injuries.
• Complex clinical experience including PEG and suctioning desirable, however training can be provided.
• Agenuine passionfor care and making a difference
• Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and empatheticnature
• Reliable, committed, and flexibleapproach
• Experience incomplex careand managing challenging behaviours
• Ability to workindependently and as part of a team

You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.
