Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Assistant Technical Officer/Associate Paediatric Audiologist to join the Paediatric Audiology team on a permanent basis. The role supports paediatric assessments, repairs, stock control and patient correspondence, with opportunity to develop specialist skills.

Applicants should have NHS experience or willingness to learn, with a focus on accuracy, IT literacy and excellent customer care.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 4 in Customer Care, Healthcare Science or Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 5 GCSEs at grade A* to C, including a science subject, English and Maths, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of different types and degrees of hearing loss.
• Knowledge of hearing aids and earmoulds.

Responsibilities

• Assist paediatric audiology assessments and perform tasks including hearing aid repairs, stock ordering and handling patient queries.
• There is opportunity to develop skills and interests in Paediatric Audiology.
