A prominent NHS Trust in London is seeking an experienced audiologist to perform specialist diagnostic procedures for children. The role involves managing services, supporting teams, and conducting clinical audits. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and experience in a paediatric environment. Strong familiarity with IT, including Microsoft Office and Auditbase, is essential. The position requires calm interaction with children and families in varying emotional states.
The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a busy environment; the applicant will preferably have experience working in a paediatric audiology department. You must be flexible and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in using Microsoft Office software, IT literate and numerate is essential. Ideally the candidate will be experienced in using Auditbase. In view of the nature of the service, it is essential you are able to deal calmly with children, young people and families who may at times be feeling anxious or distressed.
The Audiology service is managed by Barts Health and we cover several districts in East London including: Tower Hamlets, City & Hackney, Newham and Waltham Forest. We provide a service at many health centers and hospitals including the Hackney Ark Health Centre, The Royal London Hospital, West Ham Lane Health Center, Loxford Polyclinic, Wood Street Health Center, St Bartholomew\'s as well as Homerton and Newham university general hospitals. Our team is made up of over 50 staff including Audiologists, audiovestibular physicians, newborn hearing screeners and clerical staff. We work closely with colleagues in ENT and children\'s services and provide a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services. Although you will be mainly based at the Hackney Ark Health Centre and The Royal London Hospital, you may be asked to provide cover at other local sites within the wider Audiology service.
