Great Ormond Street Hospital in London is inviting applications for a 12-month fixed-term Fellowship in Paediatric Anaesthesia commencing August 2027. The posts provide extensive training in a busy tertiary paediatric referral centre.

The Fellow will provide high-quality anaesthetic services, participate in governance and audit, contribute to teaching and training, and engage in quality improvement and administrative duties to support paediatric care.

Qualifikationen

• Primary medical qualification - MBBS (or equivalent).
• Full GMC registration (obtained by designated start date).
• FRCA (or equivalent level of knowledge).
• MRCP, MRCPCH or equivalent (desirable).
• Higher degree – MSc, MPhil (desirable).
• MEPA or other paediatric simulator training (desirable).
• APLS / EPALS (desirable).

Aufgaben

• Provide a high-quality elective and emergency anaesthetic service.
• Engage in clinical governance activities: critical incident reporting, audit, morbidity and mortality meetings, mandatory training.
• Actively engage in teaching and training of colleagues within the anaesthetic department and hospital staff.
• Engage with quality improvement activities.
• Perform additional management and administrative tasks as deemed appropriate.
