Paediatric Advanced Therapist - Hand Therapy

We are looking for a motivated, flexible, and innovative person to join our supportive BOPP's team (Burns, Orthopaedics, Plastics & Limb Reconstruction). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialist and collaborative environment, primarily in outpatient settings, providing expert care to children with a range of upper limb conditions.

Who We're Looking For:

Qualified Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.

Extensive experience in paediatric hand therapy, with skills in splinting and scar management.

Experience in orthopaedics, trauma, burns, and plastics.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Provide specialist hand therapy, splinting and rehabilitation for paediatric patients following elective and trauma surgery, orthopaedic and neuromuscular conditions.

Conduct upper limb functional and handwriting assessments to support surgical planning.

Lead on complex case management within a multi-disciplinary team.

Train and support less experienced team members.

Deliver training to the wider team and contribute to ongoing service development.
