A healthcare provider in Rotherham seeks an Advanced Paediatric Practitioner to assess, diagnose, and provide care for children and young people. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical assessment skills and relevant nursing qualifications. Responsibilities include managing undiagnosed illnesses and prescribing medication as per national protocols. This role supports pediatric care autonomously within a collaborative team environment.
We are looking for a dynamic and energetic team member to clinicallyexamine and assess children and young persons needs from a physiological and psychologicalperspective, and plan clinical care accordingly.
Theposition will require the ability to establish and maintain excellentprofessional working relationships with hospital, primary care and widerstakeholder colleagues
Our practice is a large 19000 patient, 3 site medical Practice in the heart of Rotherham town centre. We have a large team of GP's, ACP's, nurses, pharmacists, HCA's and administrative staff who are commited to delivering excellent quality care. We are also a training practice.
Within your professional boundaries you will assess, diagnose and prescribe where appropriate, providing advice and care for children and young people presenting with undiagnosed and undifferentiated illnesses.
Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national/local protocols and within scope of practice.
You will practice autonomously whilst demonstrating a child and young person-centred approach to meet patient health care needs.

We are part of an excellent 3 practice PCN and share colleagues such as paramedic's, Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators.
Job responsibilities
St Ann's Medical Centre are excited to share the position of Advanced Paediatric Practitioner (APP) within our practice.
Within your professional boundaries you will assess, diagnose and provide advice, care and management to children and young people presenting with undiagnosed or undifferentiated illness via face-to-face assessments. Working in this role you will demonstrate clinical reasoning, critical thinking and autonomous practice, supported by GP / ANP colleagues.
What will you be doing
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
