An exiting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 paediatric nurse to join our team in Paediatric Outpatients, two days a week.
The department hosts a number of paediatric clinincs, including cardiac, respiratory, epilepsy, diabetes, jaundice to name a few.
Our paediatric phlebotomy service is also based within outpatients, as well as our ambulatory service where by children may attend for diagnostic tests or procedures.
We also run nurse led weekly pre assessment clinincs for those children who will be attending the inpatient unit for day surgery.

4.Following appropriate preparation, act as an associate or mentor to pre-registration nursing students.
5.Act as an effective role model for registered and unregistered staff in providing a positive clinical learning environment.
1.Regularly participate in ward meetings, team meetings and hospital - wide activities as required.
2. Ensure that messages are relayed to relevant staff/parents/children at all times.
3. Assist in the development and maintenance of effective mediums for communication to all members of staff in the ward.
