Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license required (NH state or compact state).
• BSN preferred.
• BCLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within the assigned unit.
• Coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
• Adhere to hospital policies and ANA Standards of Practice.
• Ensure safe, timely, and accurate medication administration and transcription.
• Utilize information technology in clinical practice and maintain accurate documentation.
• Mentor and precept new employees and support professional development.
• Assign tasks based on licensure and experience; monitor staff utilization.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and gather patient histories on admission.
• Communicate effectively during patient hand-offs and discharge planning.
• Evaluate plans of care and adjust interventions based on outcomes.
• Develop patient education materials and participate in community education programs.

Education
