Job summary

COOK is looking for a Sealing & Packing Team Member in Sittingbourne, Kent. The role involves sealing, sleeving and boxing meals, ensuring legal weight and high presentation standards in a small team environment.

You will verify freezing processes, operate X-ray and metal detection equipment, and assist with labeling to match specifications. Nights and days available; potential progression within a proudly independent, B Corp-certified company.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or catering is a bonus.
• NVQ Level 2 is a bonus.
• Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively.

Sealing & Packing Team Member

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent – COOK Pastry and Pies

Hours: - chose days you are available min 4 days a week required mostly night shifts

Rate: £14.00 per hour - day shift , £15.50 per hour – night shift

Role Overview: Join the final stage of COOK's production process, you are the team that ensuring that every product meets the highest standards before leaving the kitchen. Attention to detail, quality control, and teamwork are essential as you seal, sleeve, and box our remarkable products.

The Role

• Accuracy & Presentation: Seal and box meals to ensure all products meet legal weight requirements and high presentation standards.
• Quality Control: Verify freezing processes, operate x-ray and metal detection equipment, and confirm all packaging and labeling match specifications.
• Team Contribution: Collaborate effectively in a small team to minimize damage and wastage.

Good to Have

• Prior experience in food manufacturing or catering (NVQ Level 2 is a bonus).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
