Packing Operative

Opportunity is around the corner as Pertemps are currently seeking Production & Packing Operatives on behalf of an Animal Feed Factory located near North Scarle. As a Packing Operative, you will be joining a successful warehouse and production team and helping in the daily running of the factory.

No experience needed!

This is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious company that wants to invest in staff members, offering training and development opportunities. There will be permanent contracts offered to staff after 12 weeks worked through Pertemps.

What will I be paid?
£12.64 per hour.

What will I be doing as Packing Operative?

• Operate and monitor production machinery to process and package pet food products.
• Pack finished pet food products into bags or other containers, ensuring accurate weights and labels.
• Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, following hygiene and safety protocols.
• Sort and stack packaged goods for shipping or storage.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or product defects to supervisors.

What skills and experience do I need?

• Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or production role is preferred but not essential.
• Experience operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• MUST be able to drive to get to the factory.

The Packing Operative shift pattern is as follows:

• Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off
• Shifts: 12-hour shifts, rotating between days and nights:
  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
