Job description

Quorn Foods are currently seeking a Packaging Technologist to join our R&D team.

What you'll be responsible for:

Our packaging function provides full support for various new product development initiatives, along with the development & launches of new SKUs, the design-to-print process, and technical support for procurement initiatives.

This position will play a critical role in the technical management of packaging innovation and origination across multiple projects for Quorn and Cauldron brands in different territories and categories. You will be a key member of the packaging team, regarded as the “go-to” technical packaging expert, utilizing your expertise to lead and support project teams on all technical packaging aspects.

This role will require travelling between our manufacturing sites in the North East and Norfolk, as well as our commercial office in Leeds. Exact expectations will be clarified at the interview stage.

What experience you'll need to have:

• Demonstrable background in FMCG Packaging Development, ideally with expertise in food and a relevant degree such as material science, product design, engineering, etc.
• Experience leading packaging innovation programs that result in significant business impact through consumer-delighting packaging, sustainability leadership, and quality/cost improvements.
• Ability to commercialize a portfolio of food packaging technologies across various filling/packing equipment.
• Excellent team player with enthusiasm to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders internally and externally.
• Understanding of key business activities related to packaging design, manufacturing, CAPEX, and product evaluation to meet consumer, sustainability, and commercial needs.
