Position Summary

Work as part of a team operating pharmaceutical packaging lines. Operate packaging equipment and perform related tasks. Maintain accurate documentation of all tasks. Maintain a positive attitude and work well with others. Demonstrate good attendance.

Hours: 2nd shift, Monday – Friday 2:00pm – 10:30pm. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Record keeping and documentation (timecards, batch records, logbooks, etc.)
  • Operate equipment such as PLC-controlled packaging lines, vision systems; clean and set up/disassemble equipment; operate in-process devices; handle materials with pallet jacks and hi-lifts; apply metric system for calculations
  • Follow SOPs and cGMPs; maintain housekeeping; adhere to dress code and gowning policies
  • Practice safety techniques, interpret MSDSs, and use PPE appropriately
  • Make decisions such as escalating issues, following directions, stopping processes for anomalies, and identifying out-of-spec materials
  • Understand production flow, staging, storage, and key terminology
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Perform PC tasks as needed

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 6-12 months of experience
  • Ability to read procedures, apply basic math, and use hand tools
  • Physical ability to meet job requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical school certificate or 1-2 years of college
  • At least one year manufacturing experience
  • Experience with vision systems and robotic fillers
  • Knowledge of Windows-based PC applications

Physical Requirements:

  • Proper lifting techniques, prolonged standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., working flexible hours, moving stairs/ladders, exposure to chemicals, dust, noise, temperature variations, and heights up to 25 ft.
