Job summary

Teva is hiring for a Packaging Technician to join their manufacturing site in the UK. You will be responsible for final checkpoint duties on high-grade pharma product batches, packing, setting up, and operating automated packing equipment to support Teva’s lifesaving medicines.

The role suits graduates in engineering or science or those with experience on regulated packing lines, offering opportunities to contribute to quality, compliance, and process improvements within a collaborative team

Qualifications

  • Graduate with engineering or science degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience on packing lines in regulated environments is a plus.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate all automated packing equipment.
  • Assist in basic equipment maintenance as directed by Engineering.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety procedures to minimise accidents.
  • Perform packaging duties to ensure final product quality.
  • Maintain housekeeping in packaging areas per cGMP.
  • Report non-conformances to management.

A Day In The Life Of A Packaging Technician

Within this role, you will ultimately be responsible as the final checkpoint, for each high grade pharma product batch that leaves our site. You’ll be packing, setting‑up, operating, monitoring and improving all automated packing equipment used to create our blow‑fill‑seal nebules or pre‑filled syringes. You can take pride that your actions enable Teva’s patients to receive lifesaving/enhancing medication each day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking great care to ensure all equipment is operating at agreed standards - Monitoring equipment performance, fault find and make appropriate adjustments
  • Assist, where appropriate in basic equipment maintenance - As instructed by the Engineering team
  • Taking accountability in adhering to Health and Safety procedures and good working practices to minimise accidents/incidents
  • Perform packaging operational duties to enhance overall quality of the final product
  • Ensuring good housekeeping standards are met within packaging area(s) and in accordance with cGMP
  • Take ownership of reporting any instances of non‑conformance are communicated to management team
Who We Are Looking For

Are you a recent graduate with a Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline who has a passion for working in a business which improves patients’ lives?

Or alternatively you may have experience of working on a packing line in a highly regulated environment such as pharmaceutical industry, food manufacturing, medical devices or any other similar environment, without a degree background.
