Job summary

A leading company in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Packaging Technician for a temporary ongoing position in Worthing. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced environment with potential for permanent employment. Responsibilities include quality assurance, packaging assembly, and documentation updates. Training will be provided for Good Manufacturing Practice and machinery operation.

• Experience in a busy production or packaging environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

Job description

Packaging Technician
Temporary ongoing
£14.03 per hour for the first 12 weeks
Worthing
After 12 weeks, potential to earn £15.59 per hour basic, with overtime at £23.72 per hour

Our well-established client in Worthing is expanding its Packaging Department. Many temps have gained permanent contracts with our client, making this a great opportunity to start a career in the pharmaceutical industry.

The role includes:

1. Performing quality assurance checks on finished packaging
2. Assembling boxes and other packaging materials, as well as labelling
3. Understanding Good Manufacturing Practice (training provided)
4. Updating documentation

Working hours:

• Weekly rotating shifts: early week (7:00am - 2:30pm), late week (2:15pm - 10:00pm)

Key skills required:

• Ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate packaging machinery (training provided)
• Good work ethic and team spirit

Desirable skills:

• Basic English and Maths skills (GCSEs)
• Experience in a busy production or packaging environment
