Job summary

Vincere is seeking a Packaging Team Leader to oversee daily packaging and store operations near Tonbridge. You will supervise packaging staff, maintain accurate stock records, and ensure packaging supply meets daily production demand.

You will manage ERP entries, enforce BRC packaging controls, and coordinate stock rotation and deliveries to support production targets in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging, supply chain, or warehousing within FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Supervisory experience with ability to lead and coordinate teams.
• Strong inventory management and ERP/SAP handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and organise daily workloads of packaging staff, promoting safe practices and efficient space use.
• Receive, check, and record incoming packaging materials in the ERP system; maintain stock sheets and lead counts.
• Accurately pick packaging against requisitions and coordinate safe transport to the production site.
• Uphold BRC packaging and label controls; maintain receipt and traceability records; report safety concerns.
• Organise store layout by product type; manage stock rotation and incoming deliveries.

Packaging Team Leader

Near Tonbridge, Kent

£32,000 per annum

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hours per week, with working every other weekend)

About the Role

A leading business in the fresh produce sector is seeking a Packaging Team Leader to support its daily packaging and store operations near Tonbridge. Reporting to the Packaging Manager, you will supervise store operatives, maintain accurate stock records, and ensure seamless packaging supply to meet daily production demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, and organise the daily workloads of packaging staff (c3 heads), promoting safe working practices and efficient use of store space.
• Receive, check, and record incoming packaging materials into the ERP system, maintain stock sheets, lead month-end counts, and place repeat supplier orders.
• Accurately pick packaging against requisitions using appropriate machinery, double-check loads, and coordinate safe transport to the main production site.
• Uphold BRC packaging and label controls, maintain accurate receipt and traceability records, quarantine obsolete stock, and report health and safety concerns.
• Organise the store layout by product type, manage stock rotation, and handle incoming deliveries efficiently.

Your Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in packaging, supply chain, or warehousing within Food, Fresh Produce, FMCG, or Manufacturing environments.
• Prior supervisory experience with the confidence to lead, motivate, and coordinate operational teams.
• Strong inventory management, goods receipt, and ERP/SAP system skills.
• Practical understanding of food safety, hygiene, packaging controls, and BRC standards.
• Excellent organisational, numerical, and communication skills in a fast‑paced, time‑critical setting.
