Job summary

HEINEKEN UK Supply Chain in Hereford is seeking a Shift Technician (Packaging) to maintain and optimise our packaging lines for beers and ciders. You will perform corrective and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults and drive TPM initiatives to reduce downtime, while collaborating with operators to sustain efficient output.

You will work on a Continental shift pattern (12-hour days and nights including weekends), ensuring high standards of safety, quality and equipment reliability across the

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Eng. (HND or NVQ Level 3) or time served as Multiskilled Engineer.
• Experience in highly automated, safety-critical manufacturing environment, with exposure to high-speed packaging lines (canning).
• Experience executing planned maintenance techniques and CMMS.
• A continuous improvement mindset.
• Confidence and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and reactive maintenance to address defects, losses and breakdowns.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, automation and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement countermeasures including risk assessments and 5S.
• Drive TPM initiatives to eliminate losses and promote lean practices.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance with colleagues and operators to maximise reliability.
• Support and guide shop-floor operators and delegate tasks as needed.
