Job summary

GSK is seeking a Packaging Material and Equipment Technologist for a 24-month secondment at the Worthing site. The role delivers hands-on packaging material and equipment work, defines trials, and supports qualification and validation activities across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging.

You will collaborate with MSAT, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Artwork, Supply Chain and external suppliers.

Qualifications

Degree-level qualification in packaging, materials science, engineering or a related technical field.
Practical experience with primary, secondary and tertiary packaging materials and related processes.
Experience planning and executing material, process or equipment trials and qualification/validation.
Experience in risk assessment and evidence-based problem solving.

Responsibilities

Lead packaging material and equipment activities from development through line introduction and routine manufacture with clear documentation.
Assess material–equipment interactions and determine machine settings, tolerances and controls.
Plan and execute trial, qualification and validation protocols for packaging materials and equipment interfaces.
Manage technical risk assessments and troubleshoot performance issues with root-cause investigations.
Maintain specifications, artwork, data, and change-control records to GMP and regulatory expectations.
Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to confirm capability and compatibility.
