Job summary

The Best Connection in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Machine Setter in Runcorn to fault-find and optimise multiple packing lines. You will prepare machines, perform changeovers, and drive proactive maintenance to maximise output in a GMP environment.

Working on a rotating schedule (early & late shifts), the role demands mechanical aptitude, reading manuals, and hands-on knowledge of filling, labeling and related packaging lines.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with engineering knowledge.
• Experience fault finding and resolving machine defects efficiently.
• Ability to interpret operating and maintenance manuals and drawings.
• Familiarity with pneumatic systems and sensors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines prior to production to ensure timely, high-quality output.
• Change over and set packing lines to meet production requirements.
• Problem solve and optimise machines to maximise output.
• Perform adjustments during production and conduct planned maintenance.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policy and GMP guidelines.
• Carry out additional duties as required.
