Job summary

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty is seeking a Packaging Development Manager to drive project management of packaging initiatives including NPD, EPD and value engineering. You will work with NPD, Procurement, Supply Chain and Quality to deliver within spec, time and budget.

You will lead primary and secondary packaging development, focus on sustainability, manage artwork, and coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to balance creativity, costs and timelines.

About the role

As part of the Packaging Development team, the Packaging Development Manager will play an active role in driving the project management of all packaging related projects including NPD, EPD and value engineering packaging to ensure they are delivered within spec, time and budget. By working closely with the Lead Packaging Development Manager and cross functionally with NPD, Procurement, Supply Chain & Operations, Quality and Regulatory you will have a great understanding of the process and ability to provide creative, operational and commercial solutions.

With support from the Lead Packaging Development Manager and a focus on the technical and quality aspects of primary packaging development you will execute projects relating to optimisation of resources and the brand’s Sustainability strategy.

The Packaging Development Manager will come from a packaging development background and have a passion for creating innovative, sustainable and amazing looking packaging both in terms of materials and production optimisation. Together with the Lead Packaging Development Manager you will be juggling multiple packaging development projects at the same time with a can-do attitude. This is an excellent opportunity to shape & impact the brand’s product developments and expansion.

As a Packaging Development Manager you will

• Responsible for sourcing and tooling development of new fabulous primary and secondary packs, from concept through to delivery
• Responsible for managing the development of both primary and secondary packaging in line with CPAs as well as identifying & flagging any risks
• Responsible for managing artwork process from copy brief through to finished artwork in line with CPAs.
• Support and contribute the CPA management to ensure finished goods and packaging project CPAs are aligned by working closely with the NPD team.
• Working closely with Engineering and Quality on pack testing and standards.
• Work closely with Supply Chain on PO timings for packaging developments.
• Build & maintain strong relationships with our external pack suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Stay on top of any new packaging innovation and sustainability by working with packaging suppliers.

About You

• Passionate about packaging & beauty
• Highly organised and enjoy working on multiple complex projects at the same time.
• Be self-driven, result‑orientated and have excellent communication skills
• Technically strong in packaging development
• Passionate about the artwork process with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent understanding of complex NPD project management and CPA management
• Ability to work cross functionally with NPD, Design, Regulatory, Supply Chain & Marketing on various NPD projects
• Provide commercial & operational value to projects, as well as balancing creative thinking, innovation, costs & timings
• Be excited about joining a fast‑paced and challenging environment
• Team player with great can‑do attitude
