Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Inc. is seeking an Assistant Packaging Development Manager to support project management of packaging initiatives, ensuring delivery within spec, time and budget.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Product Development, Quality, Regulatory and Marketing to deliver creative, operational and commercial packaging solutions. You will work with the Lead Packaging Development Manager to focus on primary packaging development, with emphasis on materials and delivery

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in printing technology and packaging materials within FMCG industry.
• Passion for packaging development and innovative, sustainable solutions.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (NPD, Design, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing).

Responsibilities

• Assist on sourcing of new primary packaging with innovative delivery systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on pack testing and standards.
• Manage CPA alignment with NPD team and risk flagging.
• Oversee artwork process for Primary and Secondary packaging from brief to finished art.
• Lead Secondary pack development from concept to delivery.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on PO timings for packaging developments.
• Build and maintain relationships with external pack suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Monitor packaging innovations and sustainability with suppliers.

About the role

As part of the Packaging Development team, the Assistant Packaging Development Manager will play an active supporting role in the project management of all packaging related projects to ensure they are delivered within spec, time and budget. By working closely with Supply Chain & Operations, Product Development, Quality, Regulatory and Marketing you will have a great understanding of the process and ability to provide creative, operational & commercial solutions.

With support from the Lead Packaging Development Manager and a focus on the technical and quality aspects of primary packaging development you will support on the execution of projects relating to the brand’s growth primarily within the colour and complexion sector.

The Assistant Packaging Development Manager will come from a packaging development background and have a passion for creating new innovative, sustainable and amazing looking packaging both in terms of materials and delivery systems. Together with the Lead Packaging Development Manager you will be juggling multiple packaging development projects at the same time with a can-do attitude. This is an excellent opportunity to shape & impact the brand’s product developments and expansion.

As an Assistant Packaging Development Manager you will

• Assist on sourcing of new fabulous primary with innovative delivery systems.
• Working closely with Engineering and Quality on pack testing and standards, ensuring the finished pack meets all requirements.
• Support and contribute the CPA management to ensure finished goods and packaging project CPAs are aligned by working closely with the NPD team including identifying & flagging any risks.
• Responsible for managing artwork process both Primary & secondary, from copy brief through to finished artwork in line with CPAs.
• Taking Secondary pack from concept through to delivery
• Work closely with Supply Chain on PO timings for new packaging developments.
• Build & maintain strong relationships with our external pack suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Stay on top of any new packaging innovation and sustainability by working with packaging suppliers.

About you

• Passionate about packaging & beauty
• Passionate about the artwork process with excellent attention to detail.
• Highly organised and enjoy working on multiple projects at the same time
• Be self-driven, result-orientated and have excellent communication skills
• Technically strong in packaging development
• Excellent understanding of NPD project management and CPA management
• Ability to work cross functionally with NPD, Design, Regulatory, Supply Chain & Marketing on projects
• 3+ years’ experience & knowledge in printing technology and packaging materials within FMCG industry
• Be excited about joining a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Team player with great can-do attitude
