Job summary

Better Placed in the United Kingdom is seeking a Midweight Designer to join its busy in-house creative team, focusing on packaging, print and digital. You’ll design packaging from briefs through to final artwork, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to bring products to life.

You’ll maintain packaging standards, deliver assets for retail POS, displays, social media and campaigns, and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.

Qualifications

• Packaging design experience is essential, ideally within a consumer-facing or multichannel business.
• Experience creating a range of marketing assets across print and digital channels.
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach, with an understanding of how great design can engage customers and support business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design packaging from initial concepts and briefs through to final artwork approval, working with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Help maintain and improve packaging standards, ensuring consistency and quality across product ranges.
• Deliver creative assets across retail POS, displays, social media, email, website and wider marketing campaigns.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines, coordinating with stakeholders to keep work on track.
• Work closely with buying, merchandising and marketing teams to translate commercial objectives into effective creative solutions.
• Collaborate with the wider design team, contributing ideas, responding positively to feedback and supporting continuous improvement.
