Job summary

Prospex Recruitment is seeking a Packaging Designer / Creative Artworker in Bradford. This hybrid/remote role blends design flair with precise artwork, working at the intersection of concept and production to adapt packaging for multiple formats.

You will bring food-packaging experience, a strong portfolio showing both design and technical artwork, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). US experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Food packaging experience is essential.

Packaging Designer / Creative Artworker

Role: We're looking for an experienced Packaging Adaptive Designer to join our clients team in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who combines the creativity of a designer with the technical expertise of an artworker. You'll be a confident, passionate designer with a strong eye for detail and a genuine love of packaging. We're looking for someone who sits right in the middle of Design and Artwork - not too heavily weighted towards either discipline. The successful candidate needs to have the technical rigour and attention to detail of an experienced artworker, but with the ability to step outside of a conventional artwork mindset and think creatively. You should be comfortable taking an established creative concept and developing, adapting and evolving it across a range, rather than simply executing what has been supplied.

• Bring creative flair and judgement to adaptations
• Build on and develop existing illustrations and graphic assets
• Make intelligent creative decisions when adapting designs across different formats, pack sizes and products
• Understand the original creative intent and protect it as the range develops
• Recognise when something isn't visually working and have the confidence and ability to improve it
• Balance creativity with the technical accuracy and consistency required for packaging artwork.

Requirements:
