Job summary

Kingfisher is seeking a Packaging Compliance Manager on a 9 month fixed term contract to lead the data compliance program for packaging across banners, ensuring data accuracy for tax calculations and exemptions. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, KPI delivery, and continuous improvement within a hybrid working model.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate leadership, data analysis capability, knowledge of packaging data and quality, and budget management experience in a complex retail

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the strategy for packaging data compliance, ensuring data is validated so Banners can submit accurate tax calculations and maximise applicable tax exemptions.
  • Partner with Retail Banners to support packaging data compliance and help avoid Substances of Concern Packaging compliance issues.
  • Help define and deliver the packaging data strategy, including statements of work for packaging data app developments.
  • Monitor and report packaging data and supporting evidence, sharing learnings with the broader team to inform future projects and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the set-up and close-out of packaging audit cycles, ensuring requirements, timelines, evidence and follow-up actions are clearly defined, tracked and completed.
  • Develop strong cross-functional stakeholder networks to drive engagement with packaging processes, vendor education and packaging data compliance requirements.
  • Analyse key compliance data to measure performance, identify trends and track progress against agreed KPIs.
  • Provide operational support to the wider Packaging function, ensuring compliance requirements are embedded into day-to-day ways of working.
  • Support delivery of new Declaration of Conformity requirements through the creation, review and maintenance of relevant documentation.
  • Continue to build packaging development knowledge through on-the-job training and collaboration with subject matter experts.
