Job summary

Babcock International Group in Plymouth, Devon, offers a hybrid role as Package Manager Electrical. You will lead major infrastructure electrical work packages within a UK defence-focused programme, delivering safely, on time and to high quality standards.

Day-to-day you’ll manage scope, schedules, budgets and risks while coordinating contractors and multidisciplinary teams, with emphasis on leadership, governance and regulatory compliance. A security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing construction, engineering or infrastructure project sites.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects or contracts within a project environment.
• Strong understanding of project management disciplines, including planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management.
• Experience managing suppliers, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and performance management skills

The role

As a Package Manager Electrical,you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You\'ll play a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects that support the UK's defence capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex electrical work packages within a high-profile programme, managing projects from planning through to successful delivery.

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders, you\'ll ensure that electrical projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. In return, you\'ll gain valuable experience working on nationally significant programmes while developing your leadership, project management and engineering expertise within a world-class organisation.

Essential Experience Of The Package Manager Electrical

• Experience managing construction, engineering or infrastructure project sites.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects or contracts within a project environment.

Qualifications For The Package Manager Electrical

Essential:

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification with a recognised institution such as CIOB, ICE or equivalent.
• Site Safety Management accreditation.

• Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) regulations and processes
