SRM is preparing for the commencement of a major programme of construction works in Port Talbot, South Wales. The works will involve heavy construction and civil engineering across various industrial fronts over the next 3 to 4 years, starting with enabling works ahead of the main programme beginning in Q3 2025.

The Package Manager role
As a key member of the project team reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will oversee the design, coordination, and management of subcontractors across various trades within your area of responsibility.
This role requires extensive interaction with internal departments and external agencies, including Architects, Engineers, Construction Workers, Sub-contractors, Client agents, Clerk of Works, and Site Staff. Managing works contractors is a priority, as the project will be delivered under a Construction Management contract (NEC 4). You will ensure SRM obligations to the client and contractors are clearly understood and fulfilled in accordance with contract conditions.
You will also organize and lead weekly site progress meetings to monitor logistics, programme, progress, quality, and safety, providing updates to the Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Project Director.
