Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability, and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Package Manager / Project Manager to join their existing team in Plymouth (onsite up to a week a month with meetings in Bristol as and when needed) on a 26-week contract.

The Role

The Major Infrastructure Projects directorate provides major new or upgraded dock, berth, and building infrastructure projects to support ship and submarine sustainment programmes. As a Package Manager/Project Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering schedule, scope, contractual, financial, and risk management functions.
  • Managing the design process through RIBA stages 2 - 4.
  • Assisting the technical and project teams in developing requirements, project scope, and solutions for specific work packages.

You will also be responsible for chairing and leading meetings as required.

You

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in a similar position and possess the following skills/experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience managing the design of highly complex multifunctional buildings, such as hospitals or similar, through RIBA stages 2 - 4.
  • NEC 3 or 4 certification (essential).

Please note that due to the security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is conducted by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer.
