Job description

Grade 8: £27,717 - £30,066 FTE (Actual salary: £24,324 - £26,385 p/a)

Hours: 37 hours per week / 40 weeks per year

We are looking for a PA to the Principal & HR administrator who will provide:

  • A full administrative service to the Principal.
  • Consistent, efficient, and effective HR support.
  • A confidential secretarial service to the School Leadership Team.
  • Confidential and effective administrative support within the college.

This is a key post within the school which requires dedication and a highly efficient and responsible approach. It requires working closely with the Principal and being able to give the Principal's requirements first priority. The post therefore calls for the ability to work independently, use judgment and initiative, and remain calm and controlled under pressure in a demanding and constantly changing environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide extensive support for the Principal and the school’s Senior Leadership Team by understanding the needs of the school, management, and community in decision making and prioritization.
  • Represent the school and management in contacts with the wider community.
  • Ensure a high standard of administrative and management support for the Principal to facilitate the smooth running of the school.
  • Prioritize, organize, and manage the Principal’s workload.
  • Assist the Principal in producing major school documentation that sets standards and good practice.
  • Work closely with the Employee Services team to provide consistent HR support.
