Personal Assistant? Join an entrepreneurial legal firm, supporting scaling businesses to work directly with the founding partners on business and personal matters

At Jamieson Law, we're passionate about empowering ambitious entrepreneurs and growth-oriented businesses with expert legal guidance tailored to their unique needs. Founded in 2019, and run by founders Barbara Neilan and Lynne Riddell, we've built a reputation for being a strategic legal partner who understands the intricacies of growing a business. Our team is committed to providing pragmatic, commercially sound advice across a range of specialties including corporate law, intellectual property, commercial contracts, and employment policies.

Our entrepreneurial spirit means we know what it takes to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the business world. We pride ourselves on being responsive, commercially aware, and always in our clients' corner, helping them achieve their business goals and secure long-term success. That means we work beyond the tick boxes, beyond the status quo, and beyond the bland, stuffiness of typical legal firms. We work collaboratively and innovatively, always looking ahead and anticipating what's next for our clients.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented and organised Personal Assistant to join our dynamic team. Working directly with the Founding Partners, this is a full-time role that is crucial in helping us manage our fast-paced operations and managing the workloads and ongoing commitments of the Founding Partners.

About the role

This role is designed to be virtual and fully remote; this affords the whole team more flexibility and less time travelling.

You’ll need to be available to start within the next few months. The key areas of focus for this role include:

  • Inbox management: Effectively manage and prioritise high-volume inboxes.
  • Calendar organisation: Oversee scheduling and ensure efficient management of a busy calendar.
  • Assisting in balancing professional and personal commitments: Working with the Founding Partners to manage their work life and personal life commitments.
  • Client communication: Answer calls, handle new leads and update systems with client information.
  • Employee onboarding/offboarding: Oversee the seamless onboarding and offboarding processes for team members.
  • Document formatting: Prepare and format documents to a high standard.
  • Task follow-up: Ensure team members are completing tasks on time and to the high standards we have built our reputation on.
  • Travel & event coordination: Make travel arrangements and plan events as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Able to understand, assess and manage client queries quickly and efficiently.
  • Comfortable speaking to clients and quickly building rapport.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with onboarding/offboarding staff.
  • Proficient in document formatting and calendar management.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with updating systems and managing data.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong work ethic with a flexible, can-do attitude to adapt to changing priorities.

Work Hours

  • Full-time: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (UK/Ireland time), Monday to Friday.

Why Join Jamieson Law?

  • Entrepreneurial environment: Be part of a team that truly understands and embraces the entrepreneurial journey.
  • Collaborative culture: Work in a supportive environment where your ideas and contributions are valued.
  • Professional growth: Benefit from opportunities for continuous learning and career development.
  • Client-centric approach: Help ambitious businesses thrive with pragmatic, commercially-focused legal solutions.
  • Innovative work: Engage in challenging and diverse legal matters that keep you at the forefront of the industry.
