How You'll Make a Difference

As the Personal Assistant (PA) to the Executive Director for People, you will provide comprehensive and confidential business and administrative support to the People Department.

Ensuring consistent, high-quality support to the Executive Director, you will line manage the PA Team, enabling them to support key service delivery.

What You Will Be Doing
  1. Provide advice to customers, contacts, external organisations, and colleagues, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance about policies and procedures.
  2. Carry out research, collate data, and present information within your service specialism, including drafting documentation with clear findings.
  3. Coordinate responses to queries, MP enquiries, complaints, and requests from initial contact, relaying unresolved issues to senior members and informing customers accordingly.
  4. Perform administrative tasks, compile written reports, support activities, and maintain accurate records to inform decision-making.
  5. Set up meetings, format agendas, send out papers, and attend to take minutes where necessary.
What We Need From You
  1. Effective communication skills with service users, professionals, and partnership agencies across various media.
  2. Proficiency in IT, including experience with Microsoft Office.
  3. Experience with databases, including generating reports, analyzing data, and presenting findings.
  4. Experience with basic financial procedures such as petty cash and invoicing.
  5. NVQ level 3 management qualification or equivalent knowledge in business administration/administration services.

  • This role is hybrid, combining work at our office in Badminton Road, Yate, and from home.
