Actual Salary £23,942 - £27,290 per annum (Grade 8, SCP 12-20) pay award pending.

This job is Term Time Only for 37 hours per week and 39 weeks per year.

Are you a highly organised, confident, and motivated individual looking for a diverse and rewarding role in a vibrant primary school? We’re looking for a dedicated PA / Secretarial / Administration / Finance Officer to support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our school.

About The Role

This is a multi-faceted position offering a blend of administrative, secretarial, and financial responsibilities. You will work closely with the Headteacher, staff, parents, governors, and external stakeholders—playing a vital role in the day-to-day running of the school.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Assistant to the Headteacher & SLT:

  • Manage diaries, appointments, meetings and minute-taking.
  • Handle correspondence, visitors, and calls with professionalism and discretion.
  • Maintain filing systems and confidential records.
Finance

  • Monitor and manage the school budget and school funding.
  • Support budget forecasting, grant applications, and financial reporting.
  • Handle orders, invoices, payroll forms, claims, and financial returns.
  • Reconcile accounts and process income, including uniform orders.
Administration

  • Lead and manage the school office admin team.
  • Oversee SIMS and maintain accurate pupil and staff records.
  • Manage recruitment admin, school admissions, exclusions, and attendance.
  • Visitor reception, and safeguarding procedures.
About You

You will have:


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and SIMS.
  • A high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and supervise others.
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A*-C) including English and Maths.
  • RSA Stage III or Word Advanced (ECDL) or equivalent is essential.
  • Financial or administrative qualifications are desirable.
