Job Purpose:I am a young boy with ADHD and sensory needs. I am looking for a support from a Personal Assistant to help me with supported activities. I am very high energy and need someone who would match my pace an enthusiasm. I love being out and about in parks, swimming and doing outdoor activities. I also like going to McDonal’s. I have very keen interest in Jack and Beanstalk and often like to base imaginative plan and tell stories based on this story.I can become overwhelmed quickly in unfamiliar and busy environments and if I am anxious or bored, I may try to run away. This means that you would need to be vigilant and always monitor me and redirect me. When dysregulated due to emotions or overstimulation I may swear or shout in public. You would, therefore, need to be confident in deescalating these situations.Location: Bradwell, NR31Details:Supported activities in the community.Developing independence.

Person specificationEssential:Experience with autism and ADHD or being open to learning about how these diagnoses affect children.Patient and understanding.Reliable.Active and energetic.Good sense of humour.
Car owner with the appropriate driving business insurance.Desirable:Female carer preferred due to responding better to females than males.Summary terms and conditions:· The rate of pay for this position is £13 per hour· Hours and times of work: 4 hours per week, exact days and times arranged flexibly ahead of time.· The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks· This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, First Aid and Autism. Post is subject to the following:· A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.· Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.· Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
