Are you interested to become a personal assistant to young adult, who is 27 years old with mild learning disabilities ; He needs help & support to access local social activities of his choice. This post is available for day time hours (10am -4pm) any day from Monday to Friday, preferably split over 2 days.

Job Title: Personal AssistantHours Per Week: 12 hours per week on weekdays (to be arranged between us)Hourly rate: £12.60 p/h (gross) weekday (Mon-Fri)Location: In the local communityYou will be directed, supervised and employed by one of his close family member.

This gentleman has mild learning disabilities; we would like to recruit a a personal assistant with an outgoing personality who can support him to access social activities safely and could also motivate him to try new activities. He likes to go to cinema and visiting local shops, a shared interest in computer & play station and walking would be appreciated, having an experience working with people with disabilities will be beneficial.The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, sensible, flexible and conscientious with a good sense of humour and approachable. He has got a bus pass, where a PA can go with him free.What are the duties?· Support to source and access interest and hobbies· Support in accessing the community for fun activities, including attending any groups that he will be interested.· Support to motivate myself when feeling low Requirements:An understanding and previous experience with people with learning disabilities· Flexibility towards planned activities· Full clean driving licence.· A Full DBS check will be required.
