Job summary

A community support organization in Aston-on-Trent is seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) to help a teenager with special needs. Experience with children/adults with Down syndrome and sensory processing knowledge are essential. This position operates on a zero-hour basis covering weekends and holidays.

Overview

PA required to support teenager in the community and at home. PA will need to support with trips out and supporting at home with activities. PA will need to be able to provide a safe environment for client due to no danger awareness. PA will need to be strong willed and able to prompt when needed. Minimal personal care involved but will need to be able to prompt client when needed and assisting with changing when required. PA will need to have experience with children/adults with Down syndrome. PA will need to support client in calm and quiet places due to crowded and overstimulating areas that can cause distress. Sensory processing knowledge or experience will be required. This role will be on a zero hour basis to support covering any holidays or illnesses. These days will cover weekends and half term holidays.
