Job summary

Bath Family is seeking a Personal Assistant to support two boys with high-needs autism in Bath. The role focuses on afternoon/evening sessions at home, with weekend slots and holiday flexibility.

You will provide practical support, ensure safety, and engage the children in sensory play aligned with their interests. Candidates with First Aid training and a compassionate, calm, attentive approach are preferred; experience with nonverbal autism is desirable.

Qualifications

• First Aid qualification (or willingness to complete one).
• Compassionate, calm, and attentive.
• Experience working with children with nonverbal autism is desirable.
• Non-smoker and COVID-vaccinated (preferred but not essential).
• Female preferred (for personal care reasons), though all genders considered with the right experience.

Responsibilities

• Providingsupport to each child, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Assisting with eating, changing clothes, and pad changes.
• Engaging the boys in simple, sensory-basedplay that aligns with their interests.
• Helping maintain a safe environment (doors and gates locked, constant supervision).
