Job Description: Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.

Job Purpose: I am a quiet but friendly mother of a 3-year-old who requires additional support as I suffer from chronic pain. I am interested in Japanese culture, and it would be nice to have a PA who shares this interest. My PA will help me prepare lunch on weekdays and assist me in taking my son to playgroup once a week so that I can engage with other mums.

Details:

  • Assist with planning and preparing meals to ensure a good diet is maintained, and support in developing own cooking skills.
  • Assist in taking the child to Mother and Toddler group.
  • Generally support and maintain wellbeing.

Summary Terms and Conditions

  • The rate of pay for this position is £12.88 per hour.
  • Hours and times of work: 5 hours per week, including 30 minutes during lunchtimes from Monday to Friday, plus 2.5 hours per week to attend a group (days and times to be discussed at interview).
  • The annual holiday entitlement will be equivalent to 5.6 weeks of work.
  • Access to free Care Skills training for employer workers.
  • If required, training in Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals, and Food Handling will be provided annually.
  • Reimbursement for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.

The post is subject to the following:

  • A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, with the cost covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, including your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory 6-month probation period.
