P6 Planner - Onsite ASTRAEA - Aldermaston, Berkshire, RG7 4PR

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Starting from £39,500 (negotiable based on experience)

Location: RG7 4PR, between Reading and Basingstoke - 100% Onsite working required

Introducing the role:

We use P6 at AWE, so proficiency with this software is essential. As a Project Planner, you will work within a project controls team, supporting a broad spectrum of projects within ASTRAEA in a highly regulated environment.

Your day as a Project Planner with AWE could look like this:
  1. Demonstrate solid planning methodology and tools to advise, support, and develop project teams through the project lifecycle from concept to delivery, acting as a schedule specialist.
  2. Collaborate with Project Managers and specialists to guide and develop project control best practices, including schedule management, business case development, change control, risk and opportunity management, and schedule review.
  3. Communicate data effectively to various levels, including Senior management.
We are looking for individuals who are proficient in:
  • Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Programme/project planning, including best practice methodologies and software tools
  • Risk and opportunity management, including confidence modeling techniques
  • Understanding of all disciplines within project controls
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work within challenging timescales
  • Knowledge of NEC ¾ Contracts and scheduling roles
