The team

The 'oun council's Private Housing Team, helps to drive up standards in privately rented homes. The team investigates poor housing 'onditions, domesti' noise, anti-so'ial behaviour, housing related nuisan'es su'h as pest infestations, hoarding, and a''umulations of waste. The team works intensively in areas where there are high numbers of privately rented homes to make sure these are well managed, to help to ta'kle poverty and to link people with the servi'es they need.

About the role

The role will involve offering advi'e and support to residents and landlords, working with vulnerable tenants, making referrals to servi'es, 'arrying out property inspe'tions, determining 'omplian'e with landlord li'en'e 'onditions and taking enfor'ement a'tion. You will manage your 'aseload, produ'e reports, monitor and update information systems and identify areas where intervention is required to solve problems.
