Job Opportunity: P&ID Draftsperson

The Recruitment Co is urgently recruiting a P&ID Draftsperson to join our client's state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Llantrisant.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, Days

Overview

Working within the Engineering team, the role involves supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the Engineering office through drafting, P&ID surveys, and populating engineering databases.

Responsibilities

1. Become a key part of the site's Engineering support team.
2. Draft and consolidate existing P&ID's to reflect the 'As Built' plant status.
3. Create P&ID's for existing systems lacking them, under the direction of the site Process Engineers.
4. Draft Trip/Interlock 'Cause and Effect' charts for operational processes, using Excel spreadsheets under the guidance of Process and Process Automation Engineers.
5. Populate engineering databases with line list data from third-party EPC data, under the direction of a site Process Engineer.
6. Compile lists for Bellows, Flexible hoses, and Design items in engineering databases, working with Process and Mechanical Engineers.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, capable of drafting new P&ID's and updating existing ones to 'As Built' status.
• Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and database management.
• Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work onsite in a hands-on environment.
• Self-motivated team player with a proactive approach.
• Numerate, technically minded, analytical, with problem-solving skills and a balance of creativity and logic.
