Full-time Secondary P.E./Class Cover Teacher Needed in South Birmingham.

Are you passionate about teaching P.E. and looking for a new position this term?

A highly rated secondary school in South Birmingham is looking to recruit a full-time P.E. and Class Cover Teacher to join their supportive team from September 2025. The role involves teaching all secondary year groups and ideally A-Level (KS5) classes. The school is known for its pupil progress and staff development. This position is permanent, with the successful applicant involved in school decision-making processes.

Experience or willingness to cover other secondary subjects is desirable, as the timetable may include cover supervision.

The successful PE teacher will have:

  • QTS or relevant coaching qualifications and a higher-level diploma
  • Experience in sports coaching and/or education
  • The ability to deliver high-quality sport and physical activity sessions across the National Curriculum
  • Knowledge of effective pupil behaviour management strategies for classes of up to 30 students
