Job summary

Chubb European Group SE UK Branch in London seeks a Property & Casualty Package Underwriter focused on new business development within the upper SME/lower middle-market segment. You will underwrite, quote and write new P&C package business through broker partners across the UK.

You will apply property & casualty expertise to establish underwriting authority and work with underwriting management, sales and distribution to drive growth and meet targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in property and casualty underwriting environment.
• Track record as a dynamic new business development underwriter.
• Knowledge of the upper SME / lower middle-market insurance segment.
• Results-driven with ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative.
• Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• ACII or progress towards preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, quote and convert new P&C package business for lower middle-market in-line with targets.
• Engage regularly with producers and BDMs to build and execute a robust pipeline.
• Negotiate and close new opportunities with brokers.
• Maintain underwriting records and data with accuracy.
• Collaborate with sales, distribution, risk engineering and management to deliver the Chubb proposition.
