Job summary

Humand Talent is seeking a Software Engineer in Oxford for an onsite, permanent role. The team focuses on sophisticated backend systems using C++ and Python, with a culture that values quality, innovation and continuous improvement.

The role accommodates varying levels of experience; the emphasis is on strong technical ability, problem solving and collaborative engineering. Visa sponsorship is not available; UK work rights are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial C++ and Python development.
• Experience developing software within Linux environments.
• Ability to work in a collaborative engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining software using C++ and Python.
• Building reliable, scalable backend systems and services.
• Writing clean, well tested and maintainable code.
• Solving complex technical problems alongside experienced engineers.
• Contributing across the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and ongoing support.
• Participating in a shared on call support rota.
