Here's the exciting bit…a day includes

Role Purpose: Working with the Own Brand Procurement Buyer and the Commercial team as a Procurement Partner to support, monitor and control new and existing projects and purchases of Own Brand products from suppliers.
A typical day in this role includes:

1. Ensuring the tender process is followed diligently and, in a manner, aligned to policy from project conception/purchase requirement through quotations/tenders to contracts, contract monitoring and re-tender.
2. Ensuring there is clear documentation and evidence of each step in the process of contracting with suppliers.
3. Recording and sharing information to ensure an accurate UK contract database and feed into the visibility of upcoming contract expiry dates, break options and potential savings opportunities.
4. Supporting the Own Brand Commercial team in setting up and running tenders and quotation processes and supplier management.
5. Supporting with and managing the running of tenders from initial requirement, market analysis, tender/contract management, implementation, post analysis/lessons learnt while working with subject matter experts from the Own Brand buying teams.
6. Adopting appropriate negotiation strategies to attain the best terms for the business.
7. Developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships to meet the business needs.
8. Supporting the Own Brand Procurement Buyer as required.
9. Taking responsibility for own personal and professional development.

What you’ll need:

• Generalist procurement experience.
• Exposure to running tenders and category management.
• A CIPs qualification or equivalent or experience of working as a Junior Buyer would be an advantage.
• You will have strong negotiator skills to be able to secure the best outcomes for Superdrug.
• You need to be confident in making decisions that impact our own brand procurement.
