Overview

The primary purpose of the Oversight team is to ensure high-quality output and regulatory compliance of fund accounting and financial reporting activities outsourced to third-party service providers. This includes overseeing the production and dissemination of fund/class prices, financial statements, and related deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor and conduct due diligence on third-party providers.
  2. Identify and mitigate operational risks.
  3. Build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  4. Apply industry knowledge and experience.
  5. Prioritize investors and clients.
  6. Maintain accounting standards and policies.
Role Significance

This role is vital in achieving the team’s objectives.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Analyze outputs from third-party providers to ensure standards are met.
  2. Support fund accounting activities by responding to queries and providing necessary information.
  3. Prepare and review Management Information and KPIs from external and internal sources.
  4. Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
  5. Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Assist management with ad hoc projects and tasks.
Experience & Personal Attributes

Required:

  • Knowledge of the UK collective investment industry, including accounting and regulation.
  • Experience in a finance environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with high accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • At least 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English, grade C or above.
  • Recognized industry qualification (e.g., IOC).
