BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Overnight Veterinary Assistant to join their emergency department.

Pay: $ - $ / hour

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and progression through our CareerTrax leveling system.

Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation based on experience.

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible night and weekend hours, based on a 4-hour minimum shift.

Example shift differentials:

- Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am

- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am

- Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm

Job responsibilities include triaging emergency cases, assisting DVMs with estimates, diagnostics, patient care, discharges, and client communication.

As an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Assistant, you will:

• Provide nursing care according to hospital standards and values.
• Report patient status during rounds.
• Understand medication classifications, side effects, and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Administer medications appropriately.
• Perform physical exams and monitor vital signs.
• Assist with anesthesia and monitoring equipment for ASA I or II classified patients.
• Stay current with CPR guidelines and demonstrate proficiency as assigned.
