Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting a Night Transport Planner in Kirkby (L33) to join a busy overnight operation. The role covers planning, driver liaison, and real-time decision-making to ensure on-time deliveries during the night shift (9:00pm–7:00am).

Successful candidates will have experience in transport planning or logistics, strong IT skills (Excel/Outlook/Word), and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport planning or logistics.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Good IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
• Night shift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Transport Planning team to achieve daily delivery and operational targets.
• Assist with transport planning and driver communications.
• Monitor vehicle movements and make real-time operational decisions to resolve delays and disruptions.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends and support continuous improvement.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and drivers, delivering a high level of customer service.
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports using transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Use systems including TOPS, VBS platforms, Excel and Word.
• Work in line with the company's values, promoting honesty, transparency and teamwork across the operation.
