South West Galvanizers Ltd in Crediton is seeking an Overnight Tramper HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. You will deliver our galvanizing products and maintain professional relationships with customers, while upholding safety and regulatory requirements.

The role offers a permanent 48-hour contract with a pay rate of £19.41 per hour (basic £17.26 plus 12.5% uplift). Working days are Monday to Friday with opportunities for overtime and progression within the Wedge Group Galvanizing family.

Qualificações

• HGV Class 1 driving role with clean licence and CPC.
• Digital tachograph card and CPC required.
• Experience delivering steel is desirable but not essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Overnight Tramper HGV Class 1 Driver to join our busy team at South West Galvanizers Ltd based in Crediton, EX17. What’s the role?

As an Overnight Tramper HGV Class 1 Driver you will help to deliver our Company’s mission being ‘The Galvanizer of choice’ through being an integral part of a fleet that delivers our high-quality products to our customers.

Main responsibilities include:

• Putting safety first – Ensuring full compliance with all statutory requirements and driving legislation, including company procedures, tachograph monitoring, driver, and road regulations.
• Collecting and delivering steelwork.
• Maintaining good working relationships with customers.
• Complete accurate delivery records and relevant paperwork.
• Responsible for carrying out vehicle inspections.

Who would suit this role?

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable HGV Driver.

You will have a clean Class C+E licence, along with a digital tachograph card and a Driver CPC.

Previous experience transporting steel is desirable but not essential.

Hours?

Drivers working hours will be flexible to meet the needs of the business and will work up to a maximum of 60 hours per week but average no more than 48 hours per week in a 17-week period as per the Working Time Regulations. Start and finish times will be dictated by the needs of the business. Start time is usually 6pm.
