Job summary

Logical Personnel Solutions is seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver/Operator for varied, nationwide industrial and energy site work across the UK. You will join a rotating 5 days over 7 schedule with occasional nights out, delivering safe, compliant operations and yard support where needed.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll perform vehicle inspections, drive a Class 2 HGV, and contribute to site safety and efficient project execution on major energy projects.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 Licence and Driver CPC required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 HGV vehicle in compliance with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records.
• Work safely on industrial and energy plant sites across the UK; support operational teams.
• Assist with general yard duties and vehicle prep during quieter periods.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance.

Pay Rates

Worker Pay Rates

• Monday to Friday (on-site): £17.70 per hour
• Saturday & Sunday (on-site): £21.86 per hour

Rates dependent on skills and experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for:

• Supporting operational teams and client requirements as needed
• Staying away from home on planned nights out as project requirements dictateWorking a flexible rotating 5 days over 7 schedule, including weekends as required
• Assisting with general yard duties and vehicle preparation during quieter operational periods
• Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and compliance

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• HGV Class 2 Licence

• Ability to work a rotating 5 days over 7 shift pattern
• Positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to assist with yard-based tasks when required
• No IN, DD or DR licence endorsements
