Job summary

Sirona care & health invites applications for Lifetime Support Workers to care for children with complex, life-limiting health needs in the family home, providing overnight care to give parents rest and ensuring safe, holistic care. You will work alongside registered nurses in the community and follow each child's care plan.

We offer full and part-time hours with flexible patterns, and our team prides itself on support and training.

Qualifications

• Numeracy/Literacy level 1 or equivalent.
• Full Driving Licence and Access to a vehicle, NVQ/QCF (or equivalent) in Health and/or Social care.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a broad range of people.
• Awareness of own limitations and respect professional boundaries.
• Accept delegation and work without direct supervision (once fully trained and confident).
• Experience of working with children with complex health needs.
• Evidence of providing care in a health or community setting.
• Voluntary or unpaid work experience may be used to demonstrate experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support the registered nurses in delivering care in the community.
• Undertake clinical tasks to support personal care per care plans.
• Work safely within your scope of practice and competence.
