Position Overview:
The Overnight Cleaner at Southall ensures that public areas, bathrooms, and the spa are spotless, sanitized, and welcoming for guests and staff. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the hotel’s pristine image by working efficiently and adhering to the highest standards of cleanliness during overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Public Area Cleaning:
    1. Clean and maintain high-traffic areas, including the lobby, hallways, and staircases.
    2. Dust, mop, and polish surfaces such as tables, mirrors, and fixtures.
    3. Remove trash and recycling, ensuring proper waste disposal.
  2. Bathroom Cleaning:
    1. Thoroughly clean and sanitize all bathrooms, including front-of-house and back-of-house facilities.
    2. Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and hand sanitizers.
    3. Address odor control and deep-clean tiles, grout, and fixtures.
  3. Sanitize treatment rooms, shower stalls, and locker areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
  4. Clean saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs using appropriate cleaning products and methods.
  5. Manage spa towel and linen pick-up and replenishment.
  6. Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors, ensuring all areas are free of dirt and stains.
  7. Use floor scrubbers and polishers to maintain the appearance of tiled and marble surfaces.
  8. Safety and Maintenance:
    1. Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper storage and usage guidelines.
    2. Report any maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures or damaged surfaces, to management.
  9. Sustainability Efforts:
    1. Use eco-friendly cleaning products and methods where possible.
    2. Support waste reduction and recycling programs in line with Southall’s sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles preferred.
  2. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical handling.
  3. Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  4. Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  5. Physical ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and supplies.

Schedule:
This position requires overnight shifts and may involve weekends and holidays to meet the operational needs of the hotel.

Education:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
