Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses is looking for an energetic, hard-working individual to work in their warehouse Assembling Department. This position is key to ensure Cardi's WOW customer satisfaction by ensuring furniture is assembled and prepped with the highest attention to quality and detail.

JOB SUMMARY
The primary purpose is to win each day by delivering extraordinary service and value to each customer. A Warehouse Furniture Assembling Associate is responsible for producing favorable outcomes for all customers, fellow team members, the company, and the communities we serve. This includes assembling and preparing merchandise for delivery to customers’ homes in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, quality, and productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and assemble product in accurate zones in the warehouse; utilize proper equipment and material-handling techniques to minimize product damage.
- Read truck delivery report and look for special notations, such as “leave in factory packaging”, even exchanges, open goods, shop repairs, and follow processing guidelines.
- Confirm merchandise was picked correctly according to delivery paperwork.
- Unbox and unwrap product, adhering to proper cutting techniques to ensure product is not damaged.
- Examine merchandise for manufacturing defects and/or minor repairable damage.
- Assemble merchandise for delivery, following all applicable manufacturer and company instructions.
- Maintain the order of delivery stops as indicated on delivery report.
- Remove and dispose of packing material in accordance with company’s procedures.
- Assist in TV production by building props.
- Report promptly errors found to management and assist in resolving the errors.
- Participate in training sessions and assist with the training and development of other associates.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety policy.
- Operate manual and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provide total customer satisfaction through interaction and cooperation with associates and managers.
- Comply with all applicable company health, safety, and quality standards.
- Perform other functions as needed and required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a warehouse environment, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. It is a very active job requiring continuous standing, walking, bending, lifting, and using hands to operate tools.
